What and where is Tsuyama?

Tsuyama is a city of about 90,000 people. We are in Western Japan roughly 1/2 way between Osaka and Hiroshima. This is a fairly normal mid-sized Japanese town, so maybe it can serve to illustrate normal Japanese high school life for people all over the world.

We are in Okayama prefecture ,which is largely agricultural. Where there's not a mountain or development of some sort, there's a rice field. As well as for its rice, this area is known for its Bizen Pottery and peaches.

Tsuyama city is an old transportation hub town in the mountainous Chuugoku region. We have castle ruins and an annual cherry blossom viewing festival in Kakuzan Park between April 1st and 15th. We also have Shurakuen Park, which is a lovely, traditional Japanese garden.
